Science Elementary:Today we talked about the scientific method.  The first step for every skilled scientist: observe your surroundings!

We talked about capillary action and osmosis.  We demonstrated how water’s cohesive properties cause it to move up a paper towel.

We learned that water molecules are “sticky” and if one moves, it pulls other water molecules with it.  This is why water can move up the paper towel and defy gravity.
