Port Byron Library Borrowing

There are no restrictions on borrowers, as long as they have I.D. and proof of address.

          Current ID, proof of address and signature are required to obtain a library card.

          DVDs loan period is one week; limit of 2 DVDs per card

          All other items have a 3 week loan period with a 30 item limit.

          All items may be renewed up to two times. Items which may fulfill a hold for another patron cannot be renewed. 

          Items are auto-renewed unless there is a block on a patron’s card.

          Patrons can request renewals online, by phone (315) 776-5694, or in person; unless there is a block on the patron’s card or on the item.           

          New items are restricted for four (4) months to

1. Port Byron card holders

2. Any FLLS card holder borrowing directly from our library

As of January 1, 2018, Port Byron Library items no longer accrue overdue fines.  Items long overdue will cause a block to a patron’s card until items are returned.

Port Byron Library is a member of the FingerLakes Library System. Port Byron Library cards can be used at any public library in the FLLS system (within Cayuga, Cortland, Seneca, Tompkins, Tioga counties).  Borrowed items can be returned to any library within this system.
